Dear Celeste,

I apologize, please re-read this newsletter with new additions. In my haste to get the newsletter out before events around town were missed, I made a few errors and did not get some information in.

Flags for Freedom Auction Items

If you know of someone that would like to make a donation to the silent auction for The Flags of Freedom: Benefit for our Troops, please let me know.  If you have shops currently around you in a shopping plaza, ask if they would like to participate.  Send me an email with who you will be contacting and then the response and I will re-distribute to the group, so that we are not asking the same people.
Also, if you know of a restaurant that would like to donate food for 100 people in exchange for a $500 sponsor level, we need food vendors as well.  We would like to have at least five restaurants participating.  If you have any questions regarding silent auction donations or food vendors, please email

Village Playhouse Opportunity

There is a fabulous opportunity to reach over 10,000 patrons of the Village Playhouse.  You can advertise your business in the 2009-2010 Playbill – for an entire year – for as little as $125 ($125 for ¼ page; $175 for 1/3 page; $250 for half page and $400 for whole page)!  Every patron that walks in the door to see a performance receives the Playbill (the performance information for that night is inserted into the Playbill.)

In a letter from Kathy Bustos, The Village Playhouse Board President, she states “…By advertising in the Village Playhouse Playbill, you not only reach your targeted demographic of Lowcountry consumers, but you send a message that you are doing your part to support this vital community institution.  Not only does the Village provide much needed cultural arts for the greater Charleston area but it also brings dollars to East Cooper.  Every patron who comes to the Village spends money in our community, by eating in our restaurants, shopping in our stores, and visiting other area attractions….”

The back cover, inside front cover and inside back cover have all been sold.  So, do not delay.  If you are interested in growing your business inexpensively, consider advertising in The Village Playhouse Playbill.  The deadline for camera-ready artwork is August 10, but please call me or email me ( if you have any questions or are interested in advertising.
and I will send you the specific sizes requirements.  And, if we know you are interested, we can save a spot for youy using case studies, success stories, testimonials or examples of how others used your product or service successfully. Solicit material from clients and vendors, or ask your readers to write. It’s a win-win! You get relevant content, and they get exposure.
